All pictures are part of the description. NOTE: In real life this antique piece of jewelry looks better than in pictures. The aquamarine paste stones have a resplendent luminosity and beauty that is almost more attractive than the natural aquamarine gems. This piece of late Georgian or early Victorian jewelry is a master piece in perfect condition, crafted in Europe, using 18 karat yellow gold. The color of the gold is warm and beautiful. The pin brooch is even more interesting because the 3 dangle drops pendants are detachable and you can wear them separately: the 2 side dangles, attached to a pair of lever backs or French wires, could be worn as a rich pair of earrings and the largest dangle in the center could be worn as a pendant by itself on a chain, on a pearl necklace, on a aquamarine necklace or on a velvet ribbon. The main piece, as well, can be worn by itself as a pin brooch or changed into a large pendant on a piece of velvet ribbon. The gold work is magnificent and highly detailed, with fine cannetille work and repousse work, like a true art piece. The design is elegant, rich, unique, SUBLIME. Please check all the details of the cannetille and repousse work, as you can see them clearly in my pictures. The aquamarine paste stones are all clean and clear without any spots of age. The cut of the stones is unbelievably precise and sharp and the aquamarine French pastes are foiled back and prong set with perfect tiny prongs. Their blue colors with a hint of green make them resembling the natural aquamarine stones. The brooch is perfectly clean. I think that the safety latch was added sometimes in the past to make the closure pin safer. The Georgian pin brooch with aquamarine was kept in a safe place, wrapped in protective paper and its condition is immaculate. Measurements of the entire brooch are: N-S is a tad less than 3"; E-W is 1 3/4".
Measurements of the main brooch without dangles are: 40 mm x 36 mm x 10 mm. Size of the pear shape aquamarine is: 22 mm x 18 mm. Measurements of the largest dangle pendant is: 42 mm x 22 mm x 7 mm.
