The heads and necks of two very detailed swans curve up and around on either side of a large shimmering dog's tooth or Mississippi river pearl. The textured wings fold back to cradle the pearl, while the bodies curl under the base where the pearl is embedded on a rod to hold it in place. Tiny ruby red glass cabochons are set into each swan's head for the eyes. Although it is not solid gold, the rich color and detailing give it a quality look. The pin is slightly loose but stays in the C clasp securely.
CONDITION: Very good for its age. The pearl has slight nacre wear and is a little dirty. No damage to the glass eyes that I can see.
General tarnish to the gold filled metal on the front and light scratches on the back. MEASUREMENTS: 15/16 of an inch long (from the top of the pearl to the bottom of the rod) and almost 7/8 of an inch at its widest; the pearl is a little over 7/8 of an inch long and 1/4 of an inch wide at the base.
