Please remember that due to your computer's screen settings, in real life the item may not match the colour you see here. My photos are NEVER to scale so please check the actual measurements below. Here I have a sweet little Victorian 9ct gold brooch. The front depicts a little bird, sitting upon a branch, with an Irish lyre (harp) to the side and shamrocks above. The gold is the pinky colour of old 9ct, with a few yellow gold leaves. There's a safety chain fitted and it has a removable locket compartment on the back, unfortunately the glass panel has a crack but this could easily be replaced. Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, from the Birmingham Assay Office, with the date letter for 1892. Measures 3.3cm by 2.6cm. It weighs 4.8 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish to the gold which you'd expect on an antique item and the broken glass panel, as mentioned above. The item "1892 9ct Gold BIRD Swallow, LYRE & SHAMROCK Irish Themed LOCKET BACK Brooch Pin" is in sale since Sunday, June 17, 2018.
